Leicester Cosy Club opened on 16th October 2014 in a former knitwear factory.
The building has been used since the 1800s. Formerly producing all sorts of vestments from boots, shoes, hats, clothes and hosiery products and more. Leicester Cosy Club’s transformation of the building from factory to restaurant bar was done carefully. In addition, the original industrial feel of this wonderful site was retained.
Reflecting this, the interior features brightly coloured cotton and spinning wheels within the bar, historic building dates displayed on the windows and some original textile pieces from Leicester on the walls. It has a strong sense of the original feel with ceiling high windows, authentic factory lighting, bare steel riveted girders and original stone walls. This, combined with the quirky and eccentric Cosy Club stamp, makes it a must for a visit.
Inside the restaurant area can seat up to 130 in relaxed style, with room for another 50 in the bar area, and the Cosy Club also features an enclosed secret garden with heaters, parasols and blankets at the ready so you can enjoy the fresh air any time of the year! For those that want to have a more private dining experience we have our Loom Room downstairs with its very own bar, which is available for bookings for parties of up to 45 people.
