Our first food bust off
You may have seen us write a lot about a staff cocktail bust off competition in the past – we hold around 4 a year and staff compete to create a delicious cocktail to include on our drinks menus. This year, we thought it was about time we launched a similar competition for our talented chefs!
So we did and we called it, The Food Bust Off, (imaginative I know!). By the 24th of May, we had whittled down over 30 entries from our chefs all over the country to 6 finalists and were about to challenge them to a cook off of their dish. This time, we asked them to concentrate on our sandwich and burger section of the menu. The winner will get their dish featured on the menu along with a European trip – this time, Paris!

I’ve never been so impressed. It felt like we were on Masterchef. Our chefs are so talented and the quality of food was epic. We tasted the dishes one by one, each one just as good as the last. Epic.

Like any competition, there can only be one winner and on this occasion, it had to go to George Maurins with his amazingly well thought out, flavoursome, indulgent and delicious Beef Brisket dish.
You can expect to see George’s Beef Brisket on the menu in July. Launching across all of our Cosy Clubs during a two week period. What an amazing achievement. I’m already excited for the next competition in August.
