A restored 1914 coachworks on Northgate Street, stunning interiors set for all-day dining, and a few steps from Chester Cathedral and the Town Hall.

Tucked into the Coachworks Arcade on Northgate Street, Cosy Club Chester sits behind the grand arched façade of the former Westminster Coach & Motor Car Works. It’s a true hidden gem of a restaurant, brimming with character and charm, just a few steps from the Town Hall and Chester Cathedral.

Step inside where stunning interiors set the scene for everything from indulgent breakfast and laid-back brunch (bottomless, if you fancy it) to long, lazy lunches, dinner dates and late-night cocktails. Catching a show at Storyhouse, a film at the Picturehouse, or a day at the races on the Roodee? Storyhouse and the cinema are just around the corner and Chester Racecourse is a ten-minute stroll away, so it’s easy to make a day, or a night, of it.

Whatever brings you to Chester this autumn, Cosy Club is open, warm and ready to welcome you. Come in from the cold for a Chocolate Chai and a Classic Breakfast, go all in on the Cosy Butcher’s Brunch, or make a weekend of it with bottomless brunch and a Bloody Mary.

Come back later for small plates; the Sharing Monkey Bread, made exclusively for Cosy Club by Baker Tom in Cornwall, is one to fight over. Then it’s on to slow-roasted pork belly with braised savoy cabbage, our Malvani chicken curry built on 15 aromatic spices, or a 28-day dry-aged rib-eye from Aubrey Allen, with a side of macaroni cheese because it’s that time of year. Vegan and gluten free options run right through the menu, from crispy cauliflower to the chestnut mushroom curry.

Finish (or start!) with a cocktail, and you’ve got a good excuse to stay out of the weather a while longer at Cosy Club Chester.

Christmas in Chester

The Chester Christmas Market returns to Town Hall Square from 18th November to 22nd December. Just a short walk from Cosy Club Chester, it’s the perfect excuse to browse the festive stalls before settling in for dinner. Wander the Rows dressed up for the season, then head out to Chester Zoo for Lanterns & Light, its spectacular after-dark light trail, running from 13th November to 3rd January. Popular time slots can sell out quickly, so book ahead and make an evening of it with dinner before or after.

Back in town, Chester Cathedral’s much-loved Christmas Tree Festival returns from 25th November, with more than 80 trees decorated by local schools and businesses. And just around the corner, Storyhouse is bringing Rapunzel to the stage for its Christmas pantomime, running from 4th December to 3rd January.
