The former Royal Hotel, dating back to 1837, stunning interiors set for all-day dining, and right in the heart of Derby’s Cathedral Quarter.
On the corner of Victoria Street and Corn Market, in the grand Royal Buildings that once housed Derby’s Royal Hotel, Cosy Club Derby is a true hidden gem of a restaurant, brimming with character and charm. You’ll find us at the heart of the Cathedral Quarter, a few minutes from Derby Cathedral and the Market Place.
Step inside where stunning interiors set the scene for everything from indulgent breakfast and laid-back brunch (bottomless, if you fancy it) to long, lazy lunches, dinner dates and late-night cocktails. Heading to a show at Derby Theatre, a film at QUAD, or a wander round the Museum of Making? We’re a short walk from all three, so it’s easy to make a day, or an evening, of it.
Planning something a little more private? Tucked away at the back of the restaurant, The Wallace Room is full of historic charm and perfect for celebrations with friends and family.

All-day dining in the heart of Derby this Autumn.
Whatever brings you to Derby this autumn, Cosy Club is open, warm and ready to welcome you. Come in from the cold for a Chocolate Chai and a Classic Breakfast, go all in on the Cosy Butcher’s Brunch, or make a weekend of it with bottomless brunch and a Bloody Mary.
Come back later for small plates; the Sharing Monkey Bread, made exclusively for Cosy Club by Baker Tom in Cornwall, is one to fight over. Then it’s on to slow-roasted pork belly with braised savoy cabbage, our Malvani chicken curry built on 15 aromatic spices, or a 28-day dry-aged rib-eye from Aubrey Allen, with a side of macaroni cheese because it’s that time of year. Vegan and gluten free options run right through the menu, from crispy cauliflower to the chestnut mushroom curry.
Finish (or start!) with a cocktail, and you’ve got a good excuse to stay out of the weather a while longer at Cosy Club Derby.

Halloween Pumpkin Breakfast: Fri 30 & Sat 31 Oct, 9am to 11am
Bring the family for a frightfully lovely breakfast this Halloween. Every child gets a pumpkin craft kit to make their own mummy pumpkin at the table, plus a complimentary toasted s’more. Spaces are limited and booking is essential, so reserve your table and tell us how many little ones are coming.
Grab a seasonal cocktail this Halloween
Our Toasted Marshmallow Martini blends vanilla vodka, crème de cacao, toasted marshmallow syrup, hot chocolate sauce and double cream. We top it with whipped cream and a toasted marshmallow. For little monsters, there’s a Kids Hot Chocolate topped with marshmallows.

Festive menus run from 18th November through to Christmas Eve. Tuck into three courses from £29.95 – sharing starters dealt to the table, your choice of main, puddings that’ll have you reconsidering your earlier promise to take it easy.

Christmas in Derby
Festive Derby kicks off on 28th November, when the Christmas lights are switched on across the city centre and the Cathedral Quarter comes alive with seasonal celebrations. Follow the illuminated displays around the city, browse festive markets and independent traders at the beautifully restored Derby Market Hall, then come in from the cold for a cocktail.
Derby Cathedral’s carol services and seasonal music bring a quieter kind of sparkle, just a few minutes’ walk away. And this year’s panto, Snow White, is at Derby Arena from 4th to 31st December, making Cosy Club a lovely place to enjoy dinner before the show or a nightcap afterwards.
Whatever’s on your festive list, Cosy Club Derby can be where it starts and ends.
